Nuha Home Ed club was launched in November 2023 as a part time club for home educated children so that they may grow and learn in a holistic, protected, and wholesome environment. We have had a fantastic 3 years, exploring both a 2 day and 3 day week where the children have studied core subjects and Islamic Studies through the Ghazali Children’s project, additional skills, visits and trips. InshaAllah, this year, we are launching for the very first time from the new Sakina House.
The Home Ed Club runs for half the weeks of the year, and the intention is to provide an enriching, variable and engaging programme for the children during this time. With new space and experienced staff members, we are excited to explore new opportunities during our home ed club weeks to make our children’s home education experience one that brings excitement and enlightenment throughout their learning journey.
Subjects
Islamic studies & Aadab: For the last 3 years, children at the home ed club have been working through the Ghazali Children’s curriculum and have been exposed to important concepts relating to spirituality and character building. This year, the exploration of faith-related concepts and aadab will continue through practical learning, drama, and more. The lesson will make use of the upstairs hall space to ensure the children have time to move and be active.
English: exploring English literature and drawing English language lessons from class readings. Exploration of poetry and drama through English.
Maths: Twinkl based curriculum to build Maths confidence and key skills. Powerpoint and worksheet focused with practical engagement to demonstrate key Maths concepts.
Science: Back by popular demand, science this year will combine practical and theory to ensure children have a good grasp of how the world works.
Humanities: This subject area gives the students space to explore elements of geography, history and politics and more. With lively contemporary discussions like climate change, minimalism, globalism, different cultures and more being brought into the classroom, it is a place where children can explore concepts that shape the world.
Business enterprise with cross curricular subjects/mixed mediums art: This is a weekly Wednesday session where the older children will learn the theory relating to business enterprise and explore piloting their small business ideas. There will be opportunities to create and exhibit. The younger children will use this time to explore mixed medium art and get creative with clay, paints, modelling, collage making, and more.

Fees
The fee for the year is 1100 to be paid in 4 installments of 275 on specified dates throughout the course of the year with the first installment due prior to the start of the programme.

Sakina House (previously Commerce House), Bridgeman Pl, Bolton, BL2 1DW
There is currently limited day time parking around Sakina House. Parents will be instructed to pull up the rear of the building and hand their children in to the side entrance.
Recreation
The increased space at the new site will mean the children will be able to use the space to move and play suitable indoor games during their time at the Home Ed Club.
