TOUR INFORMATION

The journey begins with arrival into Hurghada, followed by a scenic, soul-soothing drive along the Red Sea coastline towards the blessed valley of Humaithara. It is here that participants will visit the luminous resting place of Imām Abul Hasan al-Shādhilī, one of the great poles of Islamic spirituality whose legacy continues to guide seekers across centuries. In the sacred company of Shaykh Ismail al-Kurdi and other esteemed guests, this first stage of the retreat sets a tone of presence, tranquillity, and deep inward turning — a powerful beginning to a journey rooted in remembrance and refinement.

Travellers will be required to fly into Hurghada for check-in at the hotel in Marsa Alam on 4 April 2026. The tour will end in Cairo and travellers will be required to check-out on 12 April 2026.

  • Visa fees (can be obtained in advance via http://visa2egypt.gov.eg) or upon arrival for approximately $25. Travellers from outside the UK are encouraged to check visa requirements relevant to you.)

  • Airport transfer to hotel (taxis are readily available outside the airport)

  • Any additional meals or visits not included in the group schedule

Once you have been contacted by the Institute with confirmation of acceptance:

  • Pay a non-refundable deposit of 50% by 18 January 2026 (to cover reservation costs)

  • Provide additional traveller information upon request

  • Complete final payment by 15 February 2026

  • Familiarise yourself with the full tour pack, which will be issued ahead of the journey

  • Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate such requests due to anticipated demand, and intricacies related to travel and accommodation booking.

  • Minimum age for single male applicants is 18 years old. Female travellers are encouraged to seek a suitable mahram to accompany them on the journey.

  • Cancellations before 30 January will be honoured. Cancellations post 30 January will forfeit the deposit payment.

  • We will endeavour to translate all lectures / advices into English.

  • We will endeavour to share select gatherings over social media where possible.

  • Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate this due to transport arrangements and intricacies related to the overall tour management.

  • In general, the hanafi school does not permit a woman to travel beyond a distance of approx. 48 miles (77km) without a mahram unless necessary. We encourage that you assess your personal circumstances against the above before applying.
